Our new website is currently under construction. Please do come back another time to see how things might have changed. Meanwhile, we have saved the essential pages from our old website to provide some information while things are being rebuilt.

The Emmanuel Centre is widely used by both Christian and secular local and national organisations. It is wholly owned by Battle Methodist Church, and the whole building is a modern outward looking Church, which encourages outreach activities and provides events and meetings facilities for all the community.

Battle Methodist Church's Emmanuel Centre has three rooms that can be hired, plus a coffee lounge to relax in, with modern AV facilities, free Wi-Fi, a modern kitchen and a large free car park - the last being a real bonus in Battle. There is both full disabled access and baby change facilities. The whole complex can be hired for conferences and other larger events, and is registered for weddings. Further information is available here.

All visitors are very welcome. If you are visiting 1066 Country for tourism or working locally or visiting friends and relatives and wish to join us at Battle Methodist Church, further information on how to find us is here.

The Emmanuel Centre is now run by the Leadership Team and the office is open most days and on Wednesdays from 9-11.00 am. Outside these hours, please either leave a message on our answerphone or alternatively send us an email and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Messy Vintage is our new venture which happens on an occasional basis. If you would like to know more, please contact us.

The Local Methodist Circuit

Our circuit has 10 churches located in Hastings, Bexhill and Rye and surrounding villages. Battle Methodist Church works closely with the circuit and news about the whole circuit can be found via the Spotlight magazine and from the circuit website. You can be assured of a warm welcome at any of our places of worship.

Our minister will be delighted to conduct your wedding service and all the facilities at the Centre will be at your disposal. Please contact us with your enquiry.

Battle Methodist Church participates in running the local Food Bank. Donations of food can be made via a collection basket in the Rowan Lounge at the Emmanuel Centre.

We also collect empty inkjet cartridges to recycle, but only those from the major suppliers. Cartridges may be left in the post box or put into the green bin in the Rowan Lounge.

The Emmanuel Centre

Battle Methodist Church funded the new church by the sale of the obsolete old chapel on Lower Lake, by fund raising and donations by its members and friends, and by gifting by the wider Methodist Church of Great Britain community and by other local and national donors.

The maintenance and running costs of Battle Methodist Church's Emmanuel Centre are met by its members and supporters, and from the proceeds generated by various events and the hiring out of its facilities.
